OUR DNA

Telling and showing the story of Jesus.
OUR MISSION

Our Purpose

The last command Jesus left us with is to “go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything [He] commanded.” Because of this, Fox Valley leads with our mission of telling and showing the story of Jesus.

TELLING

This can be done any number of ways but it will always involve a spiritual conversation centered around the gospel: sin, forgiveness, and salvation. We model this on Sunday mornings as we keep the Gospel central in everything we do.

SHOWING

We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and in doing so we will always be “showing the story of Jesus.” Jesus responded to the question "Who is my neighbor?" with essentially whoever has a need. This is just one reason why we partner with several different justice-oriented ministries.

We do this through 3D Living

1. Develop a relationship with someone. 2. Discover their story. 3. Discern their next step. Ultimately it's about intentional living as disciples to tell and show the story of Jesus to our neighbors. It is all too easy to become comfortable or simply distracted by the busyness and messiness of life and forget our calling to make disciples by sharing the love of God with our world.

OUR VALUES

PREEMINENCE OF GOD'S WORD
We start with God’s Word because without truth, this world is overrun by opinions and ideas. God has spoken and He has something to say about Himself, the world and our lives. This value is lived out by lifting high the Word of God through a message on Sunday morning, Life Groups and Equip U (our Sunday education hour).
PRIMACY OF WORSHIP AND PRAYER

As God reveals Himself in the Bible, we find that there is no one like Him. He is truly unique and worthy of all our worship. Everyone in this world worships something or someone (if it is not the true God, it is idolatry). Therefore, worship and prayer have the place of first importance of all that we do. The Holy Spirit leads and empowers our worship.

PRIORITY OF MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS
God never intended for us to live alone. From the earliest moments in the Garden of Eden when He said “it is not good for man to be alone,” we know that we were meant for relationships. Fox Valley recognizes this and seeks to help build bridges so that we can all move into meaningful relationships. It is through grace-based relationships that we become disciples who make disciples.
PASSION FOR LOCAL AND WORLD OUTREACH

The message of Christ shouts “people matter to God.” Since people matter to God, they matter to us. God desires for us to be radically other-centered. Matthew 28:19 tells us to make disciples of all nations. We seek to live out this command by partnering with local justice ministries and world mission partners and organizations.
