Disruption: Following Jesus when Life Happens

This series is a study in 1 Peter that finds Christ-Followers in a time of suffering, upheaval, confusion, and loss of hope.  People criticized their faith, mocked their practices and challenged them in every way.  There was unrest, daily turmoil, and a wide variety of conflicting views about God.  Peter skillfully guides the churches with a steady hand so that there would not be bitterness, anger or disillusionment.  He wanted to strengthen their faith as they suffered in an exceedingly difficult situation and dealt with persecution. The book calls us to hope in God, to allow him to grow us while in trials and to persevere in dependence on God.
